I have a bachelor’s degree in Biology, and a master’s degree in Informatics, both from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. I am currently a PhD candidate at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

In general terms, I can say that I work nowadays applying Computer Science techniques to the world of Genetics, in special to the field of Conservation Biology. My current project focus on the Conservation of the endangered German Black Pied cattle through its Genome studies.
You may be wondering the reason why there is a Fox in my logo. There is no clear reason for that, but I would say it means a lot to me. I really like foxes. But this avatar tends to guide the interested readers into my Blog. I aim to write as much as possible about conservation topics, my work and challenges being a scientist abroad.
